Snowshoe and scramble Thrift peak on Dec 16 with Doug Lutz.
Picked a direct route up a treed ridge to access main ridge. Crossed river on ice bridge and snowshoed up through trees. Bypassed a fence through an open gate and then heavy work trail breaking in thigh deep sugar snow up to ridge. Ridge was more narrow, treed and corniced than expected and I ran out of motivation but Doug went over to the Lookout.
