Original idea was Sarbach but fast moving weather/rain moved us to a rock ridge on Holy Cross and then to maybe just the scramble route. Pleasant walk in on trail – we cut left early on faint trail to avoid elevation loss and distance. up center of bowl and then cut right up grassy slopes to ridge. On ridge we took each rockband head on mod and one difficult section. Small mishap on my part about 150 m elev from top as I cut my knee on a rock so I started down the scree bowl while Kevin and Dave finished it off. On the way down we stayed high to right on a sheep trail which was easy on rock slopes but got bushwacky in the trees but lead to the col. Easy walk down trail to car and beat out the big rains.
