Twin Cairns Banff – beside Sunshine ski area<\/p><\/div>\n

Good short ski trip with Wietse.\u00a0 Ideal trip to start season.\u00a0 On top in 3.5 hours.<\/p>\n

Snow good and supportive except sugary in spots on the ridge around the rocks.\u00a0 Kept to lower angles\u00a0and avoided\u00a0windslab. Lots of snow on top of ridge this year.\u00a0 Wore my tele gear for a change since my AT ski skins had a ripped tail attachment.(the orange BD ones)<\/p>\n

Skinned all the way up lower ski out\/creek but thin on creek crossings – rocks and logs.\u00a0 Wawa run was reasonably soft snow.\u00a0 Regular ski out was closed below Goats Eye and had to take the Gondola down.<\/p>\n
