Annual heli in backcountry ski – alpine touring trip to the Blanket Glacier area in the Monashees SW of Revelstoke. Big area with lots of above and below tree line skiing.\u00a0 First two days were mostly cloud and scattered snow so we skied low\u00a0 or in the trees but got up high to the Vortex on Monday and got some great skiing.\u00a0 Usually lots of continuous snow and super stable conditions in this area but this year was touchy avi conditions. Saw some slides but skied in lower angles or safer aspects.<\/p>\n
