Fossil May 3/09
Park at fish creek park lot and ski up Lake Louise ski out past Temple lodge. Then skied in on the lower Skoki trail which is a snowmobile track – (versus the higher summer trail), to Deception pass and then booted up the ridge on Fossil Mountain. Used my light weight cross country gear - 5 hours to summit. Note the good looking snow gully to the right has claimed 3 victims in separate avalanches.
